I’m suspicious of purity. I doubt anything that presents itself as pure. My theology informs me that, outside of Heaven, there’s no perfection – no real purity. There’s absolutely nothing untainted by the fall. My experience validates my theology. So, when I am presented with the claims of purity, I become guarded and so should you. It’s been said that purity is a good mask for corruption because it discourages inquiry. Purity, my friends, can sometimes be the purveyor of sheep’s clothing.
