The Secret to Self-Improvement.

Robert Spector once said, “If I had Solomon’s wisdom, possessed all the power of Atlas, and moved with Mercury’s swiftness, I’d still find a way to mess things up—because I’d still be me.”

Ever feel that way? I definitely do. We don’t need a philosopher, self-help guru, or theologian to remind us we’re flawed. No matter how much talent, education, or effort we pour into being better, we still stumble. Rules, laws, and codes of conduct can’t fix what’s broken inside us. Behavior tweaks and moral checklists only hide the cracks for a while.

Real self-improvement starts when we stop pretending and let go of those illusions. We find freedom when we surrender our brokenness to the only One who isn’t flawed—except, perhaps, that He loves us far too much.
