Warehouses of Lost Childhoods

Here’s an inconvenient truth: Many of the institutions charged with the care and protection of our future — our children — are little more than warehouses full of lost childhoods. Many fine people are working in the system who are doing it for all the right reasons. Nevertheless, the system has a life of its own. It’s a self-perpetuating ecosystem that is bigger than the good people who are on the front line.
