“Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers.” — Isaiah 49:23
I write as one who has walked the shadowed valleys of loss—a recovering orphan, now finding voice after years of silence. This word from Isaiah pierces through power to address pain: “Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers.”
This is more than a promise—it is a divine reversal, a holy upheaval of pride and position.
I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
In a world where kings command, conquer, and rule with iron, the God of restoration declares: these very rulers will stoop low to nurture the broken and shelter the forgotten.
The throne room becomes a nursery.
Power kneels before vulnerability.
The mighty cradle the weak.
This is the Upside Down Kingdom—where the last become first, and the orphan finds not just shelter, but family in the hearts of those who once held only authority. It’s a prophetic summons to every leader of our time: your crown is not merely a symbol of power but a call—to care, to nurture, to serve.
I declare this with hope: the same God who raised me from the wounds of abandonment and abuse will raise up leaders who embody this divine foster care.
Nations will no longer ignore the orphan.
They will rise as guardians—foster fathers, nursing mothers—restoring life, dignity, and hope.
This Kingdom is not distant or deferred. It is breaking in now—through hands that hold the orphaned, policies that protect, and voices that speak for those still unheard.
Will you be part of this Kingdom work?
Will you—whether entrusted with great authority or small—take up the mantle to nurture and serve?
Will you bend the knee, and love the vulnerable as fiercely as the God who calls you?
