Senior couple on the beach

Not Necessary

If two people agree on everything, one of them is not necessary. If two business partners agree on everything, one of them is not necessary. If a married couple agrees on everything, one of them is not necessary.  But this truth doesn’t just apply to couples or partners. It’s true for teams, groups, and even congregations. It applies in any situation where there are people living and working together. Decisions – really good decisions – are hammered out of compromise, from considering all points of view. It’s a difficult and sometimes painful process, but also necessary.
