We Americans are all about more: more house, more car, more food, more money—more of everything. We’ve always wanted more: more land for expansion, more freedoms and rights, more choices in what we consume. But, as you already know, more isn’t always better. In some areas, the quest for more has served us well. In other ways, it has caused great harm. That said, there are at least three things we could all stand to do more of—things that, if embraced, could do more to restore balance than anything else. We could love more. We could serve more. We could pray more. These three simple acts can help us find contentment with what we have while ensuring that others have more of what they need.
