Gangland, bangland,
A fatherless child’s wasteland.
While you dwell within it,
You are ever in danger there.
A childhood’s killjoy land.
A drug infested murder land.
If you leave its borders,
They know you’ll never return.
If you grow up.
To be 30 like me.
You’ll grieve as you ponder those years,
That rolled so violently by,
That rolled so tragically by.
Gangs are no longer just an urban crisis. It’s quickly expanding to small towns and rural communities too. As the epidemic of fatherlessness spreads, so do gangs, drugs, and violence.
