This fun song reminds us that the old orphanage model was based on efficient care of large numbers of children, so much so that it sometimes looked more like a factory than a home. It’s based on a song we used to sing at summer camp called Joe and the Button Factory.
Hello!!!!!! My name is Flo.
I’ve a floor full of kids cause I work in an orphan factory
One day the boss said, “Flo are you busy?” I said, “No.”
He said, “Good.” “Take this bunch over there.”

He said, “Good.” “Take that bunch over here.”
Hello!!!! My name is Flo.
I’ve a floor full of kids cause I work in an orphan factory
One day the boss said, “Flo are you busy?” I said, “No.”
He said, “Good.” “Take this bunch up there.”
Hello!!! My name is Flo.
I’ve a floor full of kids cause I work in an orphan factory
One day the boss said, “Flo are you busy?” I said, “No.”
He said, “Good.” “Take that bunch down here.”
Hello!! My name is Flo.

One day the boss said, “Flo are you busy?” I said, “No.”
He said, “Good.” “Take this bunch in there.”

Hello. My name is Flo.
I’ve a floor full of kids cause I work in an orphan factory
One day the boss said, “Flo are you busy?” I said, “YES.”
He said, “Oh.” “Okay.” “Uh, never mind.
I said, “Good.” “Take that bunch anywhere, but here.”
