Kids who grow up in chaotic homes often don’t know how to respond when life becomes calm or predictable. For them, peace feels strange—and sometimes even unsafe. To regain a sense of control, they may unconsciously create drama or conflict, restoring the tension that feels familiar.
As an adult, I began to see how deeply those early patterns shaped me. Just when life settled into a healthy rhythm, I’d find myself disrupting it—changing jobs, moving again, or stirring up conflict without realizing why. When chaos is your normal, stillness feels unnatural.
It wasn’t until I found healing in Christ that I understood what was happening. The Lord led me to an emotional place where it finally felt safe to let good things stay good, to remain rooted instead of restless.
I’m deeply grateful for my family, who loved me patiently through those cycles until stability began to feel natural—until peace became home.
