Visionary Parenting

Parenting is ministry—arguably the greatest of all ministries.

Raising God-fearing, compassionate, personally responsible, and character-driven children is one of the highest acts of love and service to the world. Parents, do you have a vision for your ministry? It shouldn’t be just about surviving parenthood. “Hanging on,” “getting by,” or “doing the best you can” is not visionary. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Now, consider that verse in the context of parenting: “Where there is no vision, the children perish.” A parent’s vision for their ministry must go beyond merely protecting their children from harm. Vision should be big, bold, and bursting with the best desires and destinations. It starts with the goal of seeing your children come to salvation, but it doesn’t end there. True vision looks further—to your children becoming empowered to bring salvation, hope, and change to the world.
