These two verses should be read and meditated on each and every day of our lives: “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” I love how this biblical truth is captured by two of my favorite characters in children’s literature, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. Pooh asked Piglet, “What day is it?” “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh. Lord, help us to make every day our favorite.
